Katarina is a proud Kokatha woman from the Far West Coast of South Australia. Katarina was born and raised in Ceduna, but has been living in Adelaide for the last three years studying a Bachelor of Nursing at University of South Australia. She have recently graduated from university and is now working as a Registered Nurse in the Royal Darwin Hospital.

Katarina has a strong passion for health and working with Indigenous people, and is the reason she chose to be a nurse. She wants to give back to the community and reduce the mortality and morbidity gap between Indigenous Australians and non-Indigenous Australians. Katarina says 'by being an ambassador for Around the Campfire this will allow me to fulfil this passion and to help support programs dedicated to improve Indigenous health".
